Active registration is now on hold as we have approved 32
applicants and reserved 3 applicants who do not have internet access
to register. Yes folks, that's a full venue of 35 people!
This is going to be a blast! However, this means anyone who
registers now will be put on a waiting list and may still get a spot
if some people drop out (which is highly likely).
On another note,
Monarch Computers has agreed
to sign on as a bronze sponsor this year. They said if all
goes well this year as a bronze sponsor, they will send us some
super-cool stuff next year as a gold sponsor. Thanks Monarch!
We'd also like to recognize
EmployOn
for giving us a heck of a deal on a venue this year, complete with
full-service kitchen and secure parking. Thanks EmployOn!
Phase 2 e-mail on how to make payment and and additional LAN
information will be sent out very soon, so keep on eye on those
e-mail boxes!

We have implemented a new sponsorship system for this year's LAN in
order to offer sponsors more incentive to send product and
promotional materials in exchange for a more distinguished role in
our sponsorship support campaigns. For this year's LAN,
sponsors can be either a GOLD,
SILVER, or BRONZE sponsor.
Please check the sponsorship link on the left to see how each
company plans to sponsor us. Thanks to all the companies who
give their support to a community that buys their products
regularly!

DarkLAN 2005 registration is officially open.
Once you register, we will review your
information and respond via email. If you were not at either
of the past two LANs, then we may not get back to you until the
beginning of March. Previous LAN participants have a reserved spot
as long as they register by the end of February. If they do not,
then they will lose their reserved spot. We will start reviewing new
LAN registrants near the end of February. We will then email you and
let you know if your registration has been accepted and will give
you some further details. Once your registration has been accepted,
we will send you a follow-up email with further details that will
also include payment information. See you at DarkLAN 2005

We have another sponsor! CaseAce has agreed to provide
DarkLAN 2004 with one of their
Micro LT computer\speaker carrying
cases and a few thumb screws. CaseAce has proven to be a
savior to people who frequently attend LAN parties by making it much
easier to cart around equipment. Thanks CaseAce for your
support of DarkLAN!

We would like to welcome another DarkLAN sponsor, Corsair memory,
to our ranks. Corsair has sent us t-shirts(12), pens(12),mousepads(12),
posters, and fliers. Thank you Corsair! For all your
extreme memory needs, Corsair is the stuff to get for maximum
performance.
On another note, registration is now closed. If for some
reason you are still interested and we have an available spot, we
may be able to fit you in at the last minute, however there will be
a late charge and your name will not be on the LAN t-shirt.
Contact me or DarkSide for any late inquiries.

Today is the last day to register for
DarkLAN 2004. After today, unless your handle is DarkKing,
Liquifire, or Moneyshot, you cannot attend. If there are still
available spots at LAN time, we may accept some form of pleading and
begging to attend the event. There will also be a late fee.
But as of now, registration is closed and the t-shirts designs are
being completed with the list of names we have at midnight tonight.
Also, DarkLAN would like to welcome
NVIDIA as a sponsor of this year's event. NVIDIA is sending
poster, stickers, and case badges for us to give away. Maybe
they'll surprise us with some other cool stuff, but I'm just
relaying what I was told. NVIDIA has been the premier
developer of cutting edge graphics cards for as long as I can
remember. This summer they are releasing their next generation
GPU, the GeForce FX 6800 line of video cards.

We have another sponsor! NewEgg

Just a reminder folks, the deadline for
deposits is June 1st. So get them in soon!

Make your LAN deposit via PayPal today!
Click the button on the left
once you have been accepted to
the LAN via e-mail.
Note that a deposit via PayPal is $22 as opposed to $20.
The extra $2 covers the PayPal transaction fee and is not included in
the total LAN cost. This method of payment is for your
convenience only. A deposit made with a regular paper check is
only $20.
Also, I just realized that the first
day of the LAN party, August 5th, The Dark Server will be
celebrating 2 years of existence! w00t! What a better
way to celebrate it than playing with all our online friends in
person?

Website unveiled to the public.
Go DarkLAN!
Also, it has come to my attention that
people may prefer to PayPal the money for the deposit. If that
is the case, AND YOU HAVE GOTTEN THE PHASE 2 E-MAIL, send $22 ($2 is
lost to PayPal and does not count in final LAN cost) to
rick@thedarkserver.com
Update:
Bawls Guarana is sponsoring this event with a case of their
beverages with an option to buy additional cases at a discounted
rate. Thanks Bawls for your support of gaming!
